IRISH GUARDS GOLF SOCIETY REGIMENTAL MEETING 2019

General:

The Irish Guards Golf Society’s Regimental Golf Meeting will be held at West Middlesex Golf Club on the Friday 06
September 2019.

Timings:

The first tee off time will be 0900hrs, from the 10 tee. All members and guests are asked to arrive and book in by

0815hrs.The prize presentations will be held in the Sergeants Mess, 1 Battalion Irish Guards after the days play
around 2000hrs.

Cost:

The cost for the day will be £60 for members and £65 for guests. This will cover tea, coffee and biscuits, 27 holes of
golf, a light lunch and a one course meal. Sweeps and the raffle on the day will be extra.

Membership:

All members are reminded that they must be paid up members of the society at the time of entry. Those members
who have allowed their subscriptions to lapse are asked to include the £10 annual fee to the overall cost on the entry
form or complete a standing order.

Guests:

There are a limited number of places for guests. If you would like to bring a guest, please return your entry form as
soon as possible to avoid disappointment. All guests will play off a maximum (18) handicap unless they can provide
proof of an official handicap from their Club / Society.

Accommodation:

Accommodation is available at Cavalry Barracks, home of the 1 Battalion Irish Guards. People may wish to arrive the
night before the Regimental meeting. Please annotate this on your return. Those who wish to have a room for the
Friday night after the prize giving please let me know so that rooms can be booked. Early returns will secure a room if
needed at no charge. Meals and messing charges per day will be on a ‘pay as you dine’ basis.

There is a lot of information required to make this meeting work, so please send a completed Annex A (attached) to
me as soon as possible to enable planning to be done well in advance and make it an enjoyable day for all.
Can I remind all past winners to return their trophy if unable to attend (engraved please) new faces are always
welcome so come along and enjoy your golf and renew old friendships.

The entry form can be found at Annex A to this letter. This must be returned to Capt John Donaldson, 10 Stone
Buildings, Lincolns Inn, London, WC2A 3TD by the 30 August 2019. Cheques to be made payable to, “Irish
Guards Golf Society”.
