Justification:
Visitors and experts from all over the world visit the museum for research every year. We
have Nobel laureates, scientists from different disciplines, world leaders, politicians,
ministers, bureaucrat, film personalities, singers, artists and other luminaries as visitors at the
Museum. We often have school and college children visiting the Museum as well. There is
also the issue of cataloguing, numbering and maintenance of the holotype specimens. It will
be extremely helpful if someone with a Geology Background (Preferably M.Sc. in Geology)
can be recruited as a Project linked person (PLP). He/she will be able to attend the guests.
He/she will help in the upkeep, maintenance and in creating records and preparations of
resume of each holotype (the locality, Literature, Taxonomy etc). The service of a fossil
preparator is essential for the museum. Reprographic services and purchase of electric
spotlights etc are also required for the museum. Equipment for preparation laboratory and
other consumables are also important.
