Justification:
Salary: To support visiting scientists coming from other academic Institutions, both national
and international, and/or young scientists visiting ISI for short-term academic collaboration.
General: 1. AMC for PC/Work Station; maintenance of Xerox machine; computer
consumables, updates for antivirus etc.; 2. AMC for Microscopes, petty repair/spares 3.
Maintenance and consumables for Thin-section preparation lab., Fossil preparation lab.,
Sedimentology lab. 4. Fieldwork Reserved Fund 5. Teaching Material 6. Office stationery,
consumables, printing, postage 7. Internal maintenance of GSU floor Capital: 1) One research
grade petrographic microscope is urgently needed in GSU to support the necessity of faculties
and students. At present GSU has only two such microscopes which were purchased long time
back and are now outdated.2) Computer Software (for drafting, documentation, analysis etc.),
GPS, Silva, Abney Level etc. 3) One Colour Printer.
