As the ETS program currently does not make a distinction between different line
segments, it is not able to create a filter table for the line repeater. The repeater therefore
routes all the telegrams. All telegrams with physical destination addresses are also
generally routed, provided the destination address is a physical address located in that
line.

2.5 Routing

Once a coupler is put into operation, there are five possible ways in which the coupler can
respond on reception of a telegram:

In case the telegram is acknowledged:
 telegram is routed unchanged (TEL_ROUT_UN)
 telegram is routed and the routing counter is decremented (TEL_ROUT_DEC)
 telegram is intended for the coupler itself in order to change internal data
(TEL_INT)
 telegram is ignored (TEL_IGN_AK)
In case the telegram is not acknowledged:

 telegram is ignored without an acknowledgement (TEL_IGN_NOAK)
