KNX ADVANCED COURSE

As was the case for solar thermal energy systems, these can be integrated into KNX via a
gateway solution. The advantage to integrate these systems lies in the fact that current
production and measured values can be shown to the customer in many different ways.
By the use of a visualization, it is possible for instance to send this information once a
week via email or to log data in csv format etc. The available values can also be shown
on a touch panel or smartphone. On the visualisation, data can be shown as fields or
                  consumption graphs.
On the basis of this information one can evaluate whether the forecasted production
corresponds to the actual production. Depending on the type of installed inverter, it is
possible that even more information is available.
An added value for the customer can be created when he has additionally integrated a
weather station with a LUX sensor (or simply only the sensor) in the installation. With this
it is possible to evaluate the efficiency in relation to the sun intensity and the production of
the installation. By comparing the received parameters (sunlight/production), it is
moreover possible to monitor the decline in performance of the panels and to also
schedule the cleaning of the panels.
If not already automatically offered by the inverter, via logical modules it is of course
possible to calculate the current production, the cumulated value for a specific period of
                  time or the total production.
