The Leaning Tower of Pisa
t is said that travel is the best means of education. In order to
provide a firsthand experience of the myriad cultures across the
world, RSJMS organizes educational trips to different countries. In
A Trip to Ikeeping with this philosophy, Headmistress Ms. Manju Rajput led
a group of students and two teachers to Italy.
On reaching Milan our first destination, we were treated to a
Italy sumptuous lunch and then the entire group proceeded for a city tour.
Milan is a city of sights and also the industrial, financial as well as the
fashion capital of Italy. We visited a magnificient cathedral Duomo di
Milano and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Santa Maria delle Grazie
which showcases one of the masterpieces by the legendary artist
Leonardo da Vinci – ‘The Last Supper’ depicting Lord Jesus’ last meal
with his disciples. We also went to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele-II one
of the oldest enclosed shopping malls of the world. The day ended as
we checked into the Hotel Abacus.
Venice was the next city to be explored. It is built on hundred
small marshy lagoons in the Adriatic Sea. It attracts tourists from all
across the globe. We went to one of the busiest and famous places,
St. Marks Square. We saw an entertaining and educative glass blowing
demonstration on Murano Island. The children were delighted as they
