“ One child, one teacher, one book,
one pen can change the world.
— Malala Yousafzai ”
An Open Letter tudents of P4 and P5 write letters to Malala Yousafzai,
a Pakistani girl, who fought bravely for the cause of
girls’ education and went on to become the youngest
to Malala SNobel laureate ever so far.
Dear Malala,
You are an inspiration to many, including me, with all that you have
achieved at such a young age. The youngest Nobel laureate, you fought
every adversity to stand by your beliefs and ideals. At the age of 14 to
have stood for right of girls’ education despite threats from the Taliban
is exceptional. Yours is clearly an extraordinary life.
Not only that, you are a fighter. You made a miraculous recovery after
being shot at and haven’t relented since. If anything, your resolve to
fight has intensified. I think you are doing an amazing job. Your biggest
quality that stands out to me is forgiveness. You forgave the man who
shot you! So many problems can be solved if we all learn to forgive.
I have read how the world stood still and listened when you spoke
at the UN. We all have much to learn from you, Malala. Despite all
the fame and attention, you remain humble and speak with such
conviction, standing true to yourself. I too am inspired to do my bit to
ensure everyone gets education and nobody lives in fear.
I hope and pray that you achieve many more milestones and continue
to motivate us.
