1.3.3.1 Air entraining

• This material is added in concrete mix for the

entrainment of air into concrete

• Addition of this material would increase the

durability of concrete to frost without

increasing cement content

• The types of agent used are natural wood

resin, various sulfonated compounds, some

animal and vegetable fat and oils and

synthetic detergents.
