HAPPY 20 ANNIVERSARY, CMA!

Until 1998, the Cabinet Makers Association had existed only as
a great idea. At a snowy-day meeting in January, that idea became
a reality.

We’re pleased to bring you a special package of 20 Anniversary
th
features, including the story ofthat historic first meeting, where
the foundation was laid for an organization that has connected
cabinet makers across North America for idea-sharing, mentorship
and camaraderie. Included in the package is a visit with CMA
mainstay Leland Thomasset, who takes a look back at his PROfiles
feature in 2014 and catches us up on what has happened with his
business since then.

Finally, we introduce you to Paul Downs, our keynote speaker for
our 20 Anniversary conference in Denver March 1-2. Downs will

speak on the “The Struggles of Running a Small Shop,” something
all CMA members can relate to.

We’ve now finalized our conference lineup and included it here;
we’re confident that you’ll find this gathering invaluable.
