         Who are we?
The Moordown Traders Association are an enthusiastic group of business
owners from the Moordown community who have come together to promote
local trade and raise the profi le of Moordown as a shopping and business
destination, to support local traders and enhance local businesses.

We meet regularly, work voluntarily and liaise closely with the Bournemouth
Chamber of Trade & Commerce (BCTC), Bournemouth Council, elected
Members and local media to ensure that the Moordown trading district is
         represented in a positive light.

         What do we do?
Our number one aim as a trade association is the promotion and advertising
of our local businesses to the general public, both in Moordown and the wider
community. For example, Fire Radio adverts, Moordown shoppers map, MTA
web directory, presence at local carnivals and fetes etc

         How can you benefi t?
Business promotion: Free listing and link on the MTA website, free addition
to the MTA shopper’s map (20,000 distributed bi-annually), opportunity for a
free business focus in The Local Eye magazine which reaches around 13,000
homes and businesses in the area, networking opportunities, reduced rates at
MTA organised events and local trader-trader discounts.
We also liaise with the local Police and Community Support Offi cers,
highlighting issues of concern for example poor parking or graffi ti.

         How much does it cost?
£20 for annual membership, or £40 for membership and a personalised page
on the MTA website. (That’s just £3.33 a month for the package!!)
Run by volunteers who are fellow traders, our priority lies with improving the
area and expanding our customer base over making a profi t off membership,
so we can keep costs at a bare minimum.
Time wise, meetings are not compulsory and how much you get involved is
         entirely up to you.
