RiverPlex Summer Day Camp: Ages 5-12

Location: RiverPlex Fee-R (members are residents) $137/NR: $147 per week (Week 1 and 6: $110/$118 due to holidays)
Camp hours: 9:00 am-4:30 pm - Extended Care: 6:45-9:00 am and 4:30-5:30 pm (included in fee)
Optional Free Lunch Program! Sign up on a weekly basis at camp!
Our program provides a wide variety of activities including: playing in our indoor AquaPlex, climbing our 30 foot rock wall; arts and crafts;
health and fitness, sports activities in our climate controlled arena. In addition, we access the Rolling River Playground, the RiverFront biking/
walking trail, and much more. Counselors are trained in leadership, safety procedures, behavior management, activities and supervisory skills.
Children will be grouped according to age in 5 different groups at camp. Campers should bring their own *lunch, swimsuit and towel on a daily
basis and should always wear gym shoes. Drinks and snacks will be provided in the afternoon. All weekly fieldtrips are included in the price of
the weekly fee. Sign up early as spots are limited to the first 88 children.

Week 1 76214 Summer Kick OFF: School’s out for Summer…We’ll be kicking off summer with a bang Movie
May 30- by playing all the kids favorite summer time activities that they’ve been waiting for all
June 2 school year long.
Week 2 76215 Into the Wild Wokanda: We’ll be exploring Camp Wokanda on our fieldtrip this week Camp Wokanda
June -9 and doing a bit of orienteering (N, S, E, W) while we hike as well as canoeing and learn-
ing wilderness survival skills.
Week 3 76216 Up, Up and Away: Get ready to create and make items this week that we can use to Peoria PlayHouse (5-8),
June 12- play with during camp. Some popular items: animal marionettes, penny spinners, Peoria Riverfront Museum
16 plastic bag paratroopers and more. (9-12)
Week 4 76217 Aloha Summer: We will be island hopping this week having awesome summer water Splashdown
June 19- fun as we explore Hawaiian Islands and participate in our 5th annual camper’s favorite
23 RiverPlex Luau. Friday Dress Up Day Hawaiian.
Week 5 76218 Wet, Wild and Wacky: Bring your game face this week as we compete in wacky water Peoria Chief’s Game
June 26- games and relays as well as taking a trip to watch the Chief’s game at Dozer Park for
30 Splash Day. Tuesday Dress Up Day Cubs vs. Cardinals.
Week 6 76219 GAME SHOW: We’ll compete and be downright silly this week as we prepare to outwit Peoria Zoo
July 3-7 the counselors in “Are you Smarter than a Camp Counselor?” Also featuring, RiverPlex
*No Camp Got Talent, Deal or No Deal and Fear Factor-kids edition. Tuesday Dress up Day.

Week 7 76220 Ninja Warrior: Does your child run around thinking they are the next ninja warrior? Battle of Camps
July 10-14 We’ll have fun obstacle courses for them to go through at camp for them to show off
their ninja warrior moves and skills.
Week 8 76221 Heroes and Villains: We’ll be heading into action for the ultimate face off of justice TBD
July 17-21 with superhero and super villain training. Tuesday Dress up Day.
Week 9 76222 Great RiverPlex GOLD RUSH: Yeee-Haw! Heading out yonder to pan for GOLD and Children’s Discovery
July 24-28 search for the golden nuggets. Make sure the bandits don’t steal the gold doubloons. Museum (5-8), Upper Limits
(9-12)
Week 10 76223 H2WHOA! We’ll be soaking up the rays this week with fine quality H2O! This includes Spashdown (5-8), Lakeview
July 31- water games, experiments and other summer water lovin’ fun. It’s sure to be a slippery Aquatic Center (9-12)
Aug 4 soaker of a week!
Week 11 76224 RiverPlex Survivor Island-Groups will band together to make their own immunity Dragon Land (5-8), Hucks
Aug 7-11 necklace and compete in challenges to outwit and outplay the others. Harbor/Fun City (9-12)
Week 12 76225 Blast from the Past: We’ll be playing all the summer favorites as we bid farewell to Planet X Roller Skating
Aug 14-18 campers as they head back to school…we hope to see you back for winter break to play
all the favorites again!

Swim Lessons: Camp Staff will walk your child to the pool during the day time to their lesson and walk them back to camp when they
are finished.For more details please see the swim lesson descriptions in the summer camp brochure or call Jordan Schertz at 282-1531.
