          Merry

           Christmas!

This year I had the pleasure of writing about a different dog almost
every month to show you who caught my attention and made me smile.
Jarrah and I celebrated the New Year with silly hats (above) but he is
facing another New Years Eve without someone to smooch at mid-
night. He is such a smart boy, he loves his enrichment toys and works
them out so quickly! Jarrah doesn’t enjoy the shelter life, he is stressed
and needs a home. When he’s away from the shelter he is a different
boy - he loves his people with his whole heart. I hope 2023 is the year
     this boy finds his home.
                                                          Jen Barbour (& friend Jarrah)
In March I first wrote about Denali, she and her DoggieRescue Events
Mama Autumn became a fixture at events with & Fundraising Manager
me they are so good with crowds, other dogs and
children. Together these two can handle anything Oslow was my focus in July, there is something special
but they do rely on each other for their confidence about this boy. He stands out from his husky friends as
and even sleep snuggled together so my wish for he greets you with such enthusiasm whilst they stand
them for the new year is a forever home together. back and watch, he is still a big cuddler and loves to
stand up on his back legs to wrap his arms around you.
Oslow also joined me for an event this year and stole the
show at Top Dog Film Festival. 2023 will be his year to
                                            find his love story.

Finally in October I met Thomas, his sweet face
remains a favourite of mine. Thomas isn’t a confident
boy, he needs a handler who will love him and be patient
with him. He has recovered well from his multiple
surgeries and is now looking to start the new year in a
new life. I hope 2023 gives him this.

“ 2023 will be a new start for me as well. A er
six years with DoggieRescue in many different
volunteer roles I am leaving. There are so many
memories, so many lessons learned and friends
                                            who became family.”
