        WAITING….
When you adopt a dog you might say to yourself
I’m waiting here at DoggieRescue “ I hope this dog lives a long, long time!” A bond
for you to come and see, of love is formed and continues to grow every day
of that dog’s life until it’s time to say goodbye.
The one that others have passed by, When you lose a much loved dog you feel like
please stop and look at me! you have an aching void inside. But knowing that
I’m not alone in my quest your pet was loved, that he or she lived a full,
to find myself a place, happy life makes the days bearable.

Where someone will have love for me But, what about old dogs who have not known love?
and gently stroke my face… Who have never felt that SPECIAL bond or the
I know I’m not the perfect gentle, loving touch. Old dogs who have lived their
dog in everyone's eye - lives and when they most needed care were simply
abandoned. They are not missed - they are just
But I have so much love to give… replaced. Who cries for them when they die?
PLEASE, please, don’t pass me by!!!
Neville’s life should have ended at the pound but the
staff took pity on him and he came to DoggieRescue.
He was just skin and bones and he looked like, and
was, unwanted, unloved - expendable. A dog who had
never, ever been loved or been special to anyone. Dr.
Dee says “ When Neville came from the pound he
needed to stay at The Cottage Animal Hospital for quite
some time. He had the worst mouth I had ever seen.
He was very underweight and also had a double
perineal hernia. After several surgeries Neville had all
of his teeth removed and his hernias repaired.”

Time passes, the rest of his life is passing. He is a
lovely, gentle boy but has not appealed to any anyone,
as yet. So he waits. Neville is old and he needs to
know what love feels like. Don’t let him live his whole
life without knowing the joy of a loving home or ever
                                              being special, to anyone.
