In the Late Jurassic, Tendaguru was a lagoon
German paleontologist or estuary. Rivers flowed into it, carrying the
Werner Janensch corpses of animals to a mass grave. Sediments
(1878–1969) led the fossilized them, and it is these deposits of red
Tendaguru expedition sandstone that have yielded Africa’s finest
between 1909 and 1913. examples of dinosaurs.
