LAKE CNTY ABATE CHAPTER GENERAL MEETING         September 5, 2021

        DR called the meeting to order at 12:00, followed by Pledge/moment of silence & prayer by Pilgrim.
        PRESIDENT: Will “Griz” Deaver:  Spoke about the State Meeting & that next year we will be hosting the Oct one.  He
        touched on people that have recently passed due to Covid that were chapter members & reminded everyone of the St
        Jude's Run Oct 2..
        VICE PRESIDENT:  "Tate" Hehl thanked everyone for their help at the State Meeting & despite losing our trailer with all
        our stuff Landfill Mike did a wonderful job on the ammo crate & its contents.  He also mentioned we will be needing help
        for Nov Leesburg Bikefest & reminded everyone about the chili cook off next chapter meeting!

        TREASURER: Charlotte “Hotcakes” Meyer: gave her report.
        SGT AT ARMS: David ‘Smo’ Carpenter spoke about a benefit ride leaving Pickle Barrel Sunday 9/12 ..
        MEMBERSHIP: Ron “RonJon” Knab:  Gave his report & mentioned we need to carry applications for membership with
        us.  We had 5 renews & one new person sign up this month.
        PRODUCTS: “Landfill Mike” --Need materials to rebuild inside of the trailer when we get it & rebuilt the key house.
        NEWSLETTER: Vera Deaver: Mentioned the Gun Tickets & spoke about the ABATE 101.
        LEGISLATIVE: Joyce Sharpe absent so Griz spoke about that the legislatures are in office now & now is the time to
        contact them.
        STATE REPS: Griz gave his report on the State Meeting & everyone was pleased once again with Lake Cnty  & the
        food & festivities Saturday night. For more info see the MasterLink. There was discussion on the replacing the trailer
        that was stolen, so a Motion was made by Vera to put a cap on the amount & seconded by Rooster.  There will be
        more discussion at the 9/27 Board meeting to finalize everything There was also a Motion for sponsorship for the St
        Judes ride that we all attend Motion made by Yvonne & 2   by Ron Jon

        WEBMASTR: Don Breckenridge:  Still trying to rebuild all the info that was lost since his laptop was stolen.
        PR:  Karen Wade: Mentioned Bikefest & vendors (all depending on if it's on or cancelled).
        COMM/SAFETY: Tracy “Brat” Whitehurst. Was not present to report.
        SAFETY DIRECTOR: Mickey “Pilgrim” Meyer:  Spoke on trying to get the legislature people to come to one of our
        meetings to see what we are all about.
        ROAD CAPTAIN: Mike “Painter” gave his word for the day Vacuous, with an example.
        BILLING: Sheryl “Cancun” was not present to report.
        HOSP: Jan ‘Lil Bit’ DeLancy spoke about our boat day & what fun we had.
        OLD BUSINESS: There was no old business.
        NEW BUSINESS:  Shortcake mentioned the calendar will be ready by November 1st. Yvonne spoke about the
        Christmas Party & talking to the Moose people about doing a few things different this year.  At our October meeting we
        will be having the Chili Cook off, so start getting prepared.
        GOOD OF THE ORDER: Shrimp Ride sign up sheet is in the back.  Oct 2 St Judes time is 7:30AM at circle K off 561&
        CR44.  Our 50/50 was won by Casey & donated funds back to chapter.   Motion was made by Big Smo & DR, followed
        by a prayer by Pilgrim. We had 36 members present.
