            E. Goal Keeping

The defensive or attacking skill adopted
by the player to prevent the ball from
hitting the goal post is called goal
keeping. The person who performs this
task is called the goalkeeper. Blocking
the ball, hitting it, catching it, etc. are
            the skills of goal keeping.

            Activity 8.17

Practise goal keeping by one person taking turns kicking the ball and the
other catching the ball as it rolls on the ground. Siinilarly, practise goal
keeping, which involves catching the ball as it flies towards the waist.

            F. Throw In

Throw In is used to bring the ball back to the
field when it becomes dead by going beyond the
sideline during the game. While throwing the ball
in, the ball should be kept above the head without
            raising the legs.

            Activity 8.18

To practise throw in, form groups of six to seven players and have
everyone take turns throwing the ball to a friend in a semi-circle.
Hold the ball with both hands and throw it over your partner's head
            without raising your knees.
