learn from your karma rather than being victimized by it.
This is a huge benefit and true boon for the chela, and in
fact, this is not all the Master does on your behalf. he also
takes on and actually absorbs a tremendous amount of your
negative karma, which allows you to focus your attention
on the spiritual journey in a purer, more concentrated way.
of course, many have difficulty believing that this could
possibly be true, but when your attention is able to rise to
the causal plane where the karmic accounts are stored, you
can see for yourself what the presence of a true Master
            really means in your life.
When you begin to develop consciousness and your
attention and energy rise through the chakras, all of your
bodies elevate in awareness and undergo a purification.
Your mind becomes sharper, you gain greater control over
your emotions and reactions to life, and many times your
physical problems or health issues are improved. But may
I add this: The Master does not simply vanquish all of your
karma, for what purpose would that serve? karma is the
grist for the mill of life, and so it is by addressing our karma
that we learn how to live in higher awareness. Certain
karmic conditions must remain in your life to either pro-
vide necessary lessons or to pay off your karmic debt, but
the Master will help you with these issues. he will help
you see them in proper perspective, and he will help you
cultivate a healthy, positive, and truly spiritual attitude to-
ward your own difficulties and challenges, as well as those
of others. he will be there to personally and individually
assist you in the tiniest issue, as well as the most seemingly
            insurmountable obstacle.

            21. Q. In your writings, you often mention the terms “light
guru” and “sat guru.” exactly what is the difference be-
            tween them?
