             1.1.  Overview


            Excel is a spreadsheet program that allows you to

            store, organize, and analyze information. The basics
            of Microsoft excel have been covered in detail in
            previous books. This chapter focuses more on working

            with advance features in excel.


             1.2.  Inserting Columns Between Data Cells



             1.  Select the column heading to the right of where you want the new column to
                appear. To insert a column between columns B and C, select column C.


















             2.  Click the Insert command on the Home tab.



















             3.  The new column will appear to the left of the selected column.
