stoodoutsidetheFeldherrnhalleinMunich,theformer
Bavarian Defence Ministry. The Nazis tried to storm
it to seize power on 9 November 1923. Ten years
later, Hitler turned the site into a memorial
to the 16 Nazisshotbypoliceduringthe
so-called Beer Hall Putsch.
