6. I was born and grew up in Taiwan. I went from elementary school to high
school there, but I went to college in America.
7. I moved from Shanghai to America when I was 12. It was hard because I
didn’t understand English very well.
8. I entered college in 2010, majored in Economics, studied in England for a
year, and graduated from college in 2014. Now I’m a first year graduate
student.
9. I came to Japan last summer, so it has been about six months. (The time) has
gone by so fast!
10. I wasn’t used to the Japanese culture and it was hard at first, but now I’m
having fun.

2. Ask a friend what she did or will do during the summer vacation
1) last year;
2) the year before;
3) next year.
3. A co-worker has just returned from working in the US office for a year. Ask
her how she liked living in the US.
4. Ask a new employee how working in this office has been for him.
5. Discuss a movie, a class, or an event you recently watched or attended with
friends:
1) How well did you understand the movie;
2) How (difficult or easy) did you find the language used,
3) How was it at the beginning?
4) How about at the end?
