I’m sure you’ve heard of Greta
Thunberg by now. Yeah, the highly
meme-able Swedish teenager who’s
campaigning for a cleaner and greener
future. Honestly, we should all be
onboard with her vision. But Jeremy
Clarkson went on record to call her
a spoilt child who should go back to
school. While Clarkson has his own
set of flaws, I believe this outburst was
a reaction to what a greener future
implies — electric vehicles, and the
slow choking of internal-combustion
performance (while it lasts, that is).
But what am I on about?
Well, the latest BS6 emissions
norms, set to kick in by April 2020,
are a step towards that greener future.
And while Clarkson can be a bit funny
in the head, he’s right when he says
performance is being choked to emit
cleaner fumes. I think the engineers at
