                     Kalwaria Zebrzydowska

The most interesting chapels in the Kalwaria Zebrzydowska are those designed by
Paulus Baudarth, a Flemish architect and goldsmith. He was commissioned to design
many chapels, and avoiding repetition must have been a difficult task. He applied
many different ground-plans, including a Greek cross, a circle and even a triangle.
In some chapels he resorted to truly Baroque ideas, and based the plans on the
shape of a heart or rose.
