                     The most renowned Polish painter
                      of the 19th century, Matejko’s
                       vision of Polish history has
                       influenced many generations.
                       Krakow’s Academy of Fine Arts

                                              Krzysztof Penderecki (born 1933)
                                                World-renowned composer and
                                              conductor, Penderecki was educated
                                                in Krakow. He was a Professor and
                                                  Rector of the Music Academy.

                                                      A poet, leading thinker,

                                                  1993. In his final years he lived
                                                     at W. Bogusławskiego 6.
                                        Tadeusz Kantor (1915–90)
                                        A leading European artist and theatre
