          When the weight has been reduced satisfactorily,
         smooth over the surface with a kidney.
                                                                Carve a curlicue on each
                                                                side of the shell, at the point

                                                                joined. Use any tool you are
                                                                comfortable with to do this
                                                                but take your time to ensure
                                                                this detail is finished neatly.















          Cut away any more clay you feel is required to refine
         the shape further.
