              Play the following game in the classroom.


              Laro (Game ) : Lumulubog na ang barko! (The boat is sinking! )
              The students play this game while standing. The teacher shouts, in Filipino, “The
              boat  is  sinking.  The  lifeboat  can  fit  five!”  (Change  the  number  each  time.)  The
              students  group  themselves  into  groups  of  five,  or  the  appropriate  number.  Any
              “leftover” students with no group are eliminated.

              As  explained  earlier,  there  are  two  ways  of  counting  in  Filipino.  First,  is  the
              indigenous way, which we have studied in this lesson. Another system is derived
              from the Spanish language. This was introduced during the Spanish colonial period
              (1561–1898)  in  the  Philippines.  Although  both  systems  can  be  used
