Thought to be a descendant of dogs that came into the

Iberian Peninsula with the Celts around 500BCE,
the Spanish Greyhound is a fast-footed hunter.
Once kept only by royalty, the breed Long, lean head
became widely popular for
coursing and racing. Spanish
Greyhounds are not hard
to train as house dogs
but have high exercise Sandy
requirements. There
are two coat varieties: Almond-
shaped eyes
smooth-haired and Compact, well
muscled body
wire-haired.
