One of the oldest pointer breeds, the French Gascony Pointer,
from southwest France, is still kept as a hunter’s dog as well as
a household companion. Loyal and affectionate, it has a sensitive Broad, straight back
nature that responds best to gentle, consistent training. It is
a determined and enthusiastic tracker in the field.
