Cardigan Welsh Corgi

LIFE SPAN 12–15 years White markings, if present, should not dominate.
The two varieties of Welsh Corgi were classified as
separate breeds in the 1930s. Less popular as a house dog
than its relative, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi (see p.58),
the Cardigan Welsh Corgi
can be distinguished by

Like the Welsh Corgis (above and p.58), which at first glance
it closely resembles, the Swedish Vallhund was used as
a cattle-herding dog. This tough and workmanlike breed Wedge-shaped,
long head
continues to make itself useful on Swedish farms.
Uncommon as a house dog, it is gradually becoming more Straight back
widely known and appreciated for its happy personality.
