A sheepdog and guard dog, the powerful Bergamasco was bred for a
tough, outdoor life in the northern Italian mountains. Its weatherproof
coat is thick, greasy to the touch, and easily becomes matted, but once Broad, straight back Gray
the coat becomes flocked, grooming time is
greatly reduced. The Bergamasco
is companionable and loyal
