A Two-Hour Walk in the Royal Enclosure

The royal enclosure, more popularly called Stromovka,
is one of the largest parks in Prague. It was created
around 1266 during the reign of Přemysl Otakar II,
who fenced the area in and built a small hunting
château in the grounds. In 1804, it was opened
to the public and became Prague’s most popular
recreational area. The large park of Troja Palace
and the zoological garden are on the opposite
       river bank.
