Where to See
Baroque Prague
The Baroque is everywhere in
Prague. Almost all the churches
were built or remodelled in
Baroque style, the finest being
St Nicholas in the Little Quarter
(see pp128–9). There are also the
grand palaces and smaller houses
of the Little Quarter (see pp122–41),
the façades in the Old Town (see

The Jesuits exercised enormous power over education.
