Cert III Aged Care with Foundation Skills

ThIs course has been specifically designed in 2 stages for those who need literacy and numeracy
support and for whom a full qualification may be too daunting.

After successful completion of stage 1 of this training, the pathway will continue into stage 2,
culminating the successful completion of the full Cert III Aged Care Qualification.
Concession rates apply for eligible students.

Stage 1 - $80 for eligible students

Students will take part in Foundation skills classes in addition to the
mainstream Aged Care classes.

CHCICS301B Provide support to meet personal care needs
CHCAC319A Provide support to people living with dementia
CHCICS303A Support individual health and emotional well being
CHCPA301B Deliver care services using a palliative approach
FSKLRG11 Use routine strategies for work related learning
FSKOCM07 Interact effectively with others for work
FSKRDG10 Read and respond to workplace information

Stage 2 - $160 for eligible students

Students will be fully integrated to a mainstream class with support
available upon request.

CHCICS302B Participate in the implementation of individualised plans
CHCCS411C Work effectively in the community sector
CHCCS305C Assist clients with medication (pre req - HLTAP301B)
HLTHIR403C Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers
HLTAP301C Recognise healthy body systems in a health care context
HLTIN301C Comply with infection control policies and procedures
