                   An Ardent Wish

Beyond the realm of my unfading dreams
Beyond the ambit of cogent reasoning
                   Away from the parochial attitude
                   of the uncaring world
Where the earth opens up its arms
                   to embrace the chivalrous sky
Where birds spread their feathers and
                   merge into the azure high
                   Where the droplets of water
                   timidly disperse the dazzling sunlight
My heart earnestly desires to travel
                   to that empyrean domain
And blending with the rainbow hues,
wish to coalesce with the ethereal beings.
