OBJECTIVES:
To introduce about the basic functions of embedded systems
To enable the students to understand the basic structure of embedded systems
To make the Students familiar with the basic concepts of embedded systems
Introduce students to embedded systems design tools and hardware programmers
To make the students to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within
realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and
safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
LIST OF EXPERIMENTS
1. Study of ARM evaluation system
2. Interfacing ADC and DAC.
3. Interfacing LED and PWM.
4. Interfacing real time clock and serial port.
5. Interfacing keyboard and LCD.
6. Interfacing GSM module
7. Mailbox.
8. Interrupt performance characteristics of ARM and FPGA.
9. Flashing of LEDS.
10. Interfacing stepper motor and temperature sensor.
11. Implementing zigbee protocol with ARM.

OUTCOMES:
1. Experience with a set of tools for embedded systems programming and debugging.
2. Experience with implementing several embedded systems with particular focus on the
interaction between multiple devices
3. Design products using microcontrollers and various analog and digital ICs
4. Can read the datasheet for any embedded system, understand how it works.
5. Develop existing embedded systems by formulating the system design problem including the
design constraints, create a design that satisfies the constraints, implement the design in
hardware and software, and measure performance against the design constraints.
