Ralston was well represented at District
Music Contest this year with four instrumental
solos. Gwen Marolf, trumpet, gained prestiege
by winning a superior on her "Carnival
of Venice". Kathy Lehn, bassoon, also gained
recognition as she, too, captured a superior
rating on her solo Concert Sonantine." This
was Gwen and Kathy's first year in District
Competition.
Pam Marolf, tenor sax, recieved an ex­
cellent rating on her solo and Steve Bane,
trombone, recieved a good rating on his solo.
This was Pam and Steve's second year in Dis­
trict competition.
