ARTS & SCIENCE
Taking Trips to Witness Some Of
GOD CREATION
he Science department under Dr. Gary Parker’s
leadership increased the opportunities for students
and guests to take field excursions to tar pits in
Sarasota, to fossil digs in Indiana, to coral reefs in
Key West, and to a fossil fair in Tampa.
During Spring Break the Parkers took a small
group out to Indiana in the “Creation Cruiser.

They camped out in tents, woke early began
digging after a hearty breakfast over the fire. Rich
Miller said, “The trip to Indiana was enjoyable
and showed God’s awesome power and
undeserved mercy to the world through the
fossilized evidence of the flood.”
The group that went to the Florida Keys in the
middle of April included Glen Stephenson, Matt
List, Becky Loges, Becky Brummage, James
Sanford, Ruth Peel, Chrissie Hawkins, Kathy
Prichard, Paul Heier, and Wil Zinke. A local
diving instructor joined the group on their
adventure to give further instruction to the
students who were earning their diving
certificates. Ruth Peel was able because of the

kindnes of Dr. and Mrs. White and their offer to
watch her children. The students enjoyed
