Back on home ice, the Quakers pounded P.C.D. 7-1, before a large
crowd of cheering fans. The next two games were both overtime losses,
as the Blue lost to Pomfret, 3-2, and to Portsmouth Abbey, 7-6.
In one of the highlights of the year, the Quakers combined for a vic
tory over league-leading East Greenwich, 4-3. The next day, the squad
once again toppled the Knights of PCD, 9-3. The scoring included four
goals by A. J. Fortier, and two goals by Chuck DeBlois.
Despite three games in three days, the Quakers were again victorious
over a strong Newport Club, 5-3. When Worcester invaded Meehan,
the Blue tallied another win, with an identical score of 5-3.
In a late evening spectacular filmed before a live audience, the MB
squad held Holderness, winning 5-3. The M.B. Offense waited until the
midnight hour to explode with 40 shots on the New Hampshire Net-
                   minder.
Riding a five-game winning streak, the Quakers marched to Marion
to tangle with Tabor. Playing under the sun, Moses Brown was defeated

In their final contest of the season, the Blue showed their true colors.
After falling behind 4-0 to a powerful St. Mark’s team, MB battled back
for a tie in the third period, but lost by a score of 5-4.
Throughout the season, the spirit of the "76” squad was best
expressed by cries of "Keep Playin’.” Indeed, it was this ability to keep
playing and come back which made for an exciting season of good
                   hockey.
