DOUGLAS YALE BONOFF
And then there’s Doug. Mr. B. came to Moses Brown in the seventh grade, and quickly estab
lished himself as a leader among men (mostly at Armando’s). Bohnoff, so called by Mr. Bisbee, is
jock of all trades, but, contrary to this saying, he is a master, at least on the soccer field. There, he
starred as goalie in his junior and senior years. In the spring, he crusades for the glory of the tennis
team. He is a regular on the party circuit, and is a lead singer for the "fifties group.” His eagerness
to help others, his good sense of humor, and his intense desire to ham everything up combine to
make him a true winner.
PETER DENIS BURBELO
When Peter came to Moses Brown, he was immediately drafted into the ranks of the track team.
His speed and dedication earned him a membership to the elite group of "D oc’s Jocks.” Since his
junior year, Pete has been one of M B’s most active boarders — he has served as both a member of
the Boarding Council and as a boarding representative to the Student Council. Since Peter found
CBA Chemistry to be a truly challenging course, he was particularly pleased to be awarded a slide
rule tie clip for his efforts. His perseverance will undoubtedly earn him many such honors in the
future.
STEVEN G O W CALABRESI
Unseen in his senior year, Steve, the phantom student, took the bus to New Haven after comple
tion of his junior year. Rumor has it that "Calabresi Days” are still the order of the day. His intel
lectual ability and gift of persuasion have earned him consistently high grades. His achievements
as editor of the Quaker are outstanding, for under his direction, it won a first place in the Colum
bia Scholastic Press Contest. Steve also proved himself a socialite by venturing down Hope Street
to Wheeler for a French class in his junior year. A keen competitor in anything he tries, Steve will
undoubtedly be successful in the future.
