Each year, Delhaas devotes an entire day to
the purpose of acquainting its pupils with their
obligations, and the opportunities offered them by
each branch of the Service. The program is en
thusiastically received, and appreciated by the stu
dent body.
During our Armed Forces Day, this was a typical scene in many of the class
rooms. Here a srern-faced representative explains some of the requirements
of his branch. After a short lecture period, the meeting is opened to questions
of concern to the pupils.
W hile the Air Force Band plays a melody of marches, a representative of each branch of the
service is introduced to the student body. Throughout the day, the pupils are given an opportun
ity to attend conferences of their choice. Judging from the response to each introduction made
in the assembly, all branches are equally popular.
