Overall, it was a disappointing year for
the Delhaas freshman football team. Al­
though we failed to win any games, we were
"in” all but one until the fourth quarter. The
highlight of the season was a 0-0 tie with a
very strong Charles Boehm-Pennsbury team.
All season the offense was lead by Mike
Horton, Bret Colteryahn, John Williams, and
Frank Lubinski. The defense, which played
well all year, was anchored by Ted Schaum,
Cal Morrison, Steve Boccardo, and Winky
Miller. These are only a few of the forty
players who deserve a great deal of praise
for "sticking it out”. I’m looking forward
next year, when they come out for the varsi­
ty team, to develop and improve their skills
and keep the winning football tradition here
at Delhaas.
