This year’s Girls Tennis team finished
with the best record in the school’s history.
The girls hustled to a 7-10 overall record
which placed them fifth in the Lower Bucks
League. The captains of the team were: Don
na Morgan and Cheryl Snyder. These girls
were instrumental in making us a most com
petitive team. Three other seniors. Donna
Felice. Theresa Ksyiak. and Wendy Stevens,
finished the season tied for the most match
es won. Cindi Chan. Nancy Yeagle. Eleanor
Kelly, and Lori Longstreet were the other
senior starters who played well this season.
Our record is not a true measure of the
season, as many of our losses were close. A
good indication of the improvement of our
tennis program, is that the number of overall

It is hard to play on a team like the girls
tennis team, which is very unfamiliar to
most of the Delhaas studentsi but I feel that
we have come a long way. The past two
years the team has gone from hardly being
known, to winning the most matches in the
history of Delhaas High School. I think that
is quite an accompiishment.
We worked together as a team, and we
had a good time. too. I am looking forward to
seeing many more winning seasons from the
girls tennis team> and I would also like to
express our appreciation, as a team, to our
coach. Mr. Richard Cornwali.
