Starting from the back, the Nova Scotia missions
team is Joe Hogrefe, Anthony Wilson, Gary Smith,
Lynn Smith, Joshua Scarberry, Jon Iverson, Beth
Kerr, Kelly Blockinger, Katie Learned, Colleen
Gumbert, Laura Bowen, David Edwards, April
Oosterman, Amy Bandy, Rachel Thomas, Carol
Rollings, Nicole Gibson, Emily Pearce, Brian
Trainer and Dave Barfield.
Our own Miss Beth Kerr
cooked the dinners at
Forest Glen. Miss Kerr said
that she wanted to go on the
trip to help relieve the stress
from the leaders. She said
the kids worked hard and ac
complished much. She
learned that you don’t share
the lobster heads with the stu
dents, because you didn’t
know where they would end
up-it could be on your pillow.
The soccer team held a
clinic to instruct Costa
Rican city youth in San Jose.
While there, they assisted
alumnus, missionary Mike Ta
bor and his wife Casey. They
played a club soccer team
and lost the first game 7-0
and the second game 4-3.
Senior Joseph Hogrefe
said, “It w as a g re a t
honor and blessing to me to
be able to serve on the Nova
Scotia missions trip. The Lord
summermissions blessed us as a team, en
abling us to do more than we
could ask or think.”
