I AM SO THANKFUL THAT THE LORD
BROUGHT ME TO CCC. AS A FRESHMAN,
my goal was not to see how the Lord could use
me. I lived selfishly. Fortunately, through ex
%
cellent chapel speakers and the examples of godly
faculty and friends, I began to grow in the Lord.
I realized the importance of putting Christ first.
In chapel, class, and church, the prevailing prin
ciple is “It’s all about Him.” We are here on this
earth to bring honor and glory to Him. If there’s
one thing I’ve learned at CCC, it’s this: stop liv
ing selfishly, and start living for Christ.

I HAVE HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING ■
RAISED IN A CHRISTIAN FAMILY. MY PAR-
ents showed me the path of salvation at a young
age. I am blessed to have a background focused
on the Lord Jesus in my home, church, school,
and even in some of my jobs. Luke 19:48 refers
to the responsibilities of such blessings. Even
though I am not majoring in an area of full-time
Christian service, I pray that the Lord will help
me to serve Him in an amazing fashion.
I HAVE LEARNED MANY INVALUABLE LES
SONS FROM FRIENDS. I BECAME A CHRIS-
tian as a direct influence of a roommate’s testi
mony at camp before coming to college. The godly
examples of my friends and roommates have
aided me in my growth. The lesson that has most
shaped my daily decisions and endeavors is I
need to fear God and not man. I am excited to
see how the Lord will use my experiences as a
proctor as preparations for my future ministry.
