5k anyone who i5 a child
of a mulitple birth and
you will get a variety of
comments.
Some will say they like being' a twin or a
triplet because they can pi a v pranks on
people: others will sav thev wished they had
more individuality and were not seen as
always part of a pair or a group.
?F|lcll, the W essels triplets- Nicholas,
Noroert, and Jonatlnan-came into this world
nearly December I 9 9 4 . Little bundles of
joy are epcactlv what thev were weighing m at 41 bs 1 low, 41 bs 12 ow.
and 3lbs lOow. Evemthough they were delivered 7 weeks early, the
older two boys only had a week's stay at tine hospital, while Jonathanhad a
couple more weeks of hospital care. Tine proud parents admitted to the
difficult childcare for tine first couple of years. Mr. W essels said thev
changed 2 10 diapers a week and had 2 4 feedings each day. No new
parent is ready for that!
R^Qick is the oldest and Jonathams the youngest. Though Jonathanwas
tfntmnallest, now he is the tallest standing at 6' 1". Their names were chosen
from family names: first names from their great grandfathers and middle
names from their grandfathers.
I
lost people probably wouldn't recognizee the boys as triplets because they
are not identical, aixf each boy has Inis individual Qualities. W h e n first meeting
them, you see their Quiet natures, but Norb stands out as the comedian, Nick is
serious-minded, and Jonathams the thinker.
Fjfjfllnenasked if anything unusual or funny has ever happened to them
Pccause of being triplets, thev admitted their lives have beenouite ordinary.
I But once, thev recalled a manintlne airport from Africa. Tine mantold them
that if you ever met triplets you were supposed to give them a gift. So, he did. He gave* each of them a
dollar.
]hey all love CCH, whether it was the teachers, the cafeteria food, or the drama. Their advice to
inromung fresfnnnenwas to get inyolved and be yourself.
