The Varsity Soccer Colonels started
the season winning their first two games
by a combined score of 19-0. They lost
the next five games, getting outscored
13-2.
The Colonels then went on a six-game
winning streak before losing their last
regular season game.
The Colonels won districts and won the
tOth region tournament. They played
Highlands in the regional finals beating
them t-0. They won their next two
games putting them in the state semi­
finals against the favorite St.X. The
Colonels stayed with them for the first
half but wound up losing 4- f, putting an
end to their great season.
Coach Hertsenberg was proud that the
team got as far as they did, and it was a
bittersweet victory with his resigning
this year as head soccer coach.
