ITUCKY HIGH SCHOOL The 2009 Covinqton Catholic
Cross Country Team had one of the
best seasons in more than a decade.
With very stronq senior leadership,
the Colonels dominated the field for
much of the cross country season.
They had touqh competition in both
Ohio and Kentucky and proved they
could flex their muscles aqainst any
size school. They were ranked
number one for much of the season in
all of the coaches' poll. They easily
won the 9th reqion tournament, and
were heavily favored to win state.
Despite their best efforts, South
Oldham beat the Colonels by a
meaqer nine points. With a score
that close, the result could have
come out either way. nonetheless,
the Covinqton Catholic Cross Country
Team proved to the state that they
are a team to be reckoned with, and
their influence will not be forqotten.
