This was the first year that we had a Student-Athlete Council at Holy Child. It
was formed in an attempt to unify the athletes of our school with the athletic
department as a whole. Whether you were on a Junior Varsity or a Varsity
team, a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior you could be a part of SAC.
Ms. Solfaro offered her support of the new club in saying, ‘The Student-
Athlete Council is an opportunity for the student-athletes of Holy Child to
voice their concerns and provide input to department policy and proce
dure.” SAC spent the year getting feedback from athletes on what to im
prove, preparing a slideshow for the athletic dinner, and raising funds to go
toward new equipment. All in all, the club is well on its way to becoming
a necessary element of Holy Child’s club network.
