The literary magazine is the home for artistic expressions
among the students. This melange of creativity and intel
lectual spirit proves to showcase an anthology of poetry,
artwork, prose, and photography, making “Reflections” one
of the school’s finest publications. Through their mur
derously witty campaign to expand the creative arts at
Holy Child, the literary magazine staff hopes to bring
together a creation of student work that that is reflective
of the unique, opinionated, and outspoken nature of the
student body.

The Mock Trial Team consists of hard-working, talented young
women who are interested in the law and social justice. As a team,
we compete in the regional competition of the National Mock Trial Championship sponsored by the Westchester
Bar Association. The goal of Mock Trial, however, is not winning. It is to facilitate the growth of the individual
student as a person able to work with and support others, as a knowledgeable citizen acquainted with the legal
system, and as a community leader working for the betterment of humanity. The goals of Mock Trial set by its
members are to promote greater understanding of and appreciation for the law, court procedures, and the
American judicial system; to improve basic life skills, such as critical thinking, reading, speaking, and advocacy; to
improve communication and cooperation among key community members, including schools, teachers, gov
ernment leaders, law professionals, and citizens; to heighten appreciation for the principle of equal justice for all;
to promote an awareness of current legal issues; and to promote the exchange of ideas among students from
throughout the United States while providing a rewarding and memorable experience of interaction.
