                                                     President of Outing Club.

Richard Morgan came to Moses Brown
last year to be immediately linked with Bo
Mauran. He has spent his whole senior year
trying to recover his reputation. Dick is an
avid science student, a lover of nature, and
an eager high-jumper; all these skills he has
used to best advantage on Sunday walks in
the woods with his minister’s daughter. As
if to defy the cultured city folk of M.B.
Dick joined the Proscenium club to win a
lead in "Our Town” and to demonstrate his
new-found jlair for acting (although the
wedding scene was almost too real). Just
ask her! Nimble Dick has also shown a
marked interest in E.B.R.’s history, even to
the point of waiting around after class to
pick up some more. Contrary to popular
belief, Dick did not form the Outing club
just to be a president; he happens to like
                                               skiing. So does Dartmouth.

Phil, one of our boarders gone day boy,
never appears to be doing anything construc
tive, unless it is building his model cars.
However, he usually manages to make
honors. Like most intellectuals, Phil has his
                                       secrets—"Midnight Frolics,” as he affection
ately calls them. Most of the time, Phil can
be found beginning a theme or doing a rapid
review for a German test (both obviously
for the next day). He doesn’t really believe
in any of the vices that most boys indulge
in. And, being an individualist, one wonders
why he does indulge in such activities. It is
a well know fact that Phil has made the ac
quaintance of many females, most of whom
prefer to remain at least one date ahead of
him. Phil’s most amazing accomplishment is
the great affection that he has cultivated for
the school in only three years of attendance.
This affection was displayed when he spent
an entire Saturday saving the school money
by washing the chairs of Alumni Hall. Such
devotion to duty will serve Phil well if he
applies it to whatever he does.
