Bitburg wrestlers finished 1st.
2nd. and 3rd in individual action in
the European championships
(AFCENT Invitational) at the close
of the regular wrestling season.
Unbeaten Andy Lemke posted a
thrilling tournament march as he
won top honors at 165. To get the
title, he defeated Zweibruecken's
Yves Pacheco twice. 15-1 and 4-1.
He had beaten the same wrestler in
the German championships. 5-2.
Ken Zehner finished 2nd in the
AFCENT meet (after a 4th in Ger­
many). Mike Neville wrestled very
well in the finals, taking a third.
Zehner won the tourney's "most
exciting match" honors.
Bitburg’s Andy Lemke (26-0) finishes off a tournament foe
at Munich in this nifty bit of action.
